It isn't a question of one advantage or two, but rather the aggregate of assets that puts  Mississippi in a class all its own:  low cost of living and working, high quality workforce, excellent educational opportunities, a great environment in every way for companies and families—all in the heart of the South where year-round temperatures average 65 degrees.

Most importantly, Mississippi's best asset is our people:  friendly, hard-working, and unusually creative (Remember, the blues were born here and so was Elvis; William Faulkner and Eudora Welty were lifelong Mississippians; Oprah came from here and so did John Grisham.)

Tennessee Williams, another famous Mississippi writer, talked about the “kindness of strangers,” but the truth is, here in Mississippi we don't know a stranger.  We're always ready to welcome new people and to enjoy life to its fullest.  It's a state of mind we think you'll appreciate.
